Servers are responsible for creating a positive guest experience by ensuring all members and guests are served in a prompt, efficient, and pleasant manner, always recognizing and calling members by name. You’ll assist in all outlets of our Food & Beverage operation as needed, including a la carte dining, beach club service, banquets, and beverage cart operations. Your warm demeanor, attention to detail, and professionalism will be key in making every visit memorable.
Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: Part-Time, Hourly + Tips.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
- Prepare tables with napkins, utensils, condiments, and other essentials.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current menus, beverage offerings, and member events.
- Deliver an exceptional dining experience: serve items, fulfill requests, up-sell, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill beverages.
- Properly open and pour wine tableside.
- Keep dining areas, bus stations, and service areas clean and organized.
- Set up, break down, and service special events and banquets.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards at all times.
- Communicate products, services, and club offerings to members and guests.
- Assist in all assigned areas of the Food & Beverage operation as needed.
Additional Service Standards:
- Setup side stations and complete assigned prep work.
- Greet and assist all members and guests within one minute of seating.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude that reflects the club’s high standards.
- Time the service of each course to provide a smooth dining experience.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1–2 years of serving experience preferred (country club or fine dining a plus).
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. alone or with a team member.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time. The position may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
